      Recurring Sex Dreams

      Hey I'm new to the forum, and finding it very interesting so far. I just wondered if any of you guys could help me.

      I've been with my girlfriend for over two and a half years now and she has always had dreams about sex, probably about once or twice a week. They are always about someone other than me, normally totally random/strange, and almost always male. She has dreamt about her ex too, although she has never outright told me this, I heard from our friend.

      She has quite a high sex drive so I always thought it was just her preoccupation with that, but it's starting to upset me a bit now and I'm wondering if I'm really not compatible with her. Whenever it is brought up she finds it amusing that I'm frustrated by it. Am I being ridiculous or do you think this points to some underlying problem with the relationship?

      You're being ridiculous. It's a dream, and in my book, most dreams mean nothing unless you're actually lucid and perfectly aware of what's going on. Since dreams are merely the constructions of the subconscious mind (which has a tendency to latch on to random things and not let go, in addition to basing dreams on the most random and tedious thoughts), I wouldn't sweat it.

      Also, some people do stuff in dreams because they would never do it in real life! It's purely for the sake of it, and banging people in dreams doesn't even mean it's something you'd even want to be doing in real life (or someone lol). Kind of like your subconscious experimenting. Wouldn't worry about her!
