Can this be done?

I'm not a genius right now, but I do excel in math and physics. I would really like to be able to teach myself somehow to be able to problem solve and crunch numbers at the rate of a genius (aka really, really fast). Is there any way of going about something like this, or are you just born with these genius talents?
