There is No Reason

I'd prefer living forever. Eventually we'll be able to leave earth and go anywhere, so life won't be THAt boring anymore.
But i've got a theory. What if we ARE immortal, only we simply change bodies every time the previous one is "worn". I think the reason why there is something like death is because our memory has to be erased.
Imagine having lived 100.000.000 years. If you take a look back at your life and remember all your (deceased) loved ones and other memories of people and places (earth itself) long gone...it must be unbearable.

It achieved movement and change, from life to death.

If you didn't want to do that, you should have found a constructive reason why otherwise, and find something that could be of more use, within that time frame.

It'd be cool, though, if between one's reincarnations one could choose to reflect upon life's experiences.
