Actually, I'd consider myself a little more introverted, though it may be hard to tell, sometimes.

I definitely walk the line, though. I can take on the attributes of an extrovert, when it's time to go out and party, or chill with my friends, but I always have to get a recharge, and there are many days were I'm just more comfortable/productive/amused/entertained when I'm by myself. In a crowded room, though, unless I'm just really feeling the right vibe, I'm usually the quiet guy that just sort of observes everything the people around me are doing, and my brain is constantly just flowing with inner-dialogue - so much so that, sometimes, I end up tuning out the conversation around me without even knowing it, even if people are talking directly to me. Lol.

Yeah it defined me very well, I don't like it that extroverted people think I have something against them, my mom does that occasionaly, when she first met the school nurse, she didn't think she liked her, but later she relised she's introverted.
I think for extroverts life in society can be easier, if they have the social skills, and are fun to talk to, I think the social thing for introverts discribed me extremely well too, I get energized holding deep conversation, it's just a matter of getting past the small talk that I find hard, if only it wasn't expected as much as it is in society.

I don't like it that extroverts seem to think introverts have some problem, but we never complain to them about how they should cool off and keep to themselves for awhile.

I'm kind of an intro/extrovert, im really like what Oneiron wrote also, or kichu, im pretty much similar.

      mostly introverted but occasionally extroverted.

Cool article btw, makes a TON of sense to me, because my friends and family are mostly extroverted and they ALWAYS want to go out every minute of the day every day every moment they need to do something, and that drives me absolutely insane.

Everyone keeps saying how i seem to avoid people or avoid social situations, when im really just having alone time, i LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE alone time, like total solace...nobody but me, total peace and quiet.

But then there's times where i love to party, but not very often.
I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.

      Great minds think alike.

Hmmm. I wonder if there is any adage for what great bodies could do together? If not, we should create one.

It's the same for me, especially that last sentence. My mind just gets stuck on an idea sometimes and runs with it without any regard for what I'm doing. It's embarrassing having to tell someone, "I'm sorry, could you repeat that? I wasn't paying attention."

I find myself to be more of an "internal thinker" as well and I wonder if that's true for most introverts. I like to work things out in my head before I say something, while I know others tend to voice their thoughts while they're thinking them. I guess I can be a bit of both, but usually when someone asks me a question, it takes me a little while to answer because I want to say how I truly feel rather than just blurt something else and have to spend extra time clarifying.

All of those five points were spot on. I definitely need a lot of time alone to 'recharge' and I enjoy those periods of thought as much as I do socialising, and I dislike small talk; get me talking about some deep philosophical issue though and I can go on for hours (literally).

Another thing any extrovert should know is that introversion does not mean that one is unhappy with life

Atleast I've found that to be exactly the opposite in many cases.

Surely, most people on an online philosophy forum would be introverts hehe

Yeah there was a time when I thought that it's what I wanted, but it didn't make things better. When I have the oppurtunity to talk to someone usualy it's like why should I, it won't cheer me up or make me more energetic feeling.

I am an introvert and you know what i hate? Akward silences. When you are sitting there with just 1 of your friends, usually of the opposite sex, and you try to talk to do small talk with them because they are more extroverted, and you will talk about something for a minute and then its just quiet, and you cant think of anything good to say. And whenever you do they are just short little conversations with no meaning. I hate it! That's why i have not ever had any success with women is because i never have enough in common with them to talk about. Gah! I'm not getting married

All i have to say is extroverts can be very frustrating, wanting to be pleased all the time

Awkward silences are a great oppotunity for gaining social points. Because an awkward silence is ordinarily uncomfortable for people, if you can look secure at that moment like it's no big deal at all, it makes you look extra secure. That is the type of thing women generally respond to, not how well you click with them through common interests.

You will not get any better suggestions than what I told you. If this is a shallow bimbo you are talking about, you are going to have to play silly games. There is no way around that.

Man, I would love to know what happens if you get a band going. A lot of good results from doing that. Just don't end up with too much money and free time and turn into a drug addict. Other than that, it's plus all the way.
