Absolutely, he is a master of deceit. I didn't really get an answer from you regarding the following:

If man is the only creation which has rebelled against God, why are some angels sentenced to judgement?
2 Peter 2:4 For God did not spare even the angels when they sinned; he threw them into hell in gloomy caves and darkness until the judgment day.

Since the Bible also refers to Satan as “the prince of demons” (Matthew 12:24), and speaks of “the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41) a reasonable conclusion is that the devil is the leader of a group of angels who rebelled against God.

Rev 5:9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Notice how they these malevolent entities are still referred to as angels? Demons are fallen, sinful angels. At one point in time, they along with their leader, were without these characteristics to make a clear distinction possible.

So why did God throw the devil and his angles down to Earth rather than Pluto?? Seems like a dumb thing to do. The devil and his crew could have been on Pluto and us humans would have been better off.

How can a spirit be confinded to a physical place?
It can't! satan has never taken physical form.

So God could have turned Satan into a rock and still put him on Pluto!! Why turn Satan loose in the Garden of Eden??

Awaken, I've been reading Isaiah 14 and found the taunt being addressed to the King of Babylon per verse 4. I can see how a parallel can be made to mankind in general, but direct consequences affecting this particular person are found in verses 16-23.

I suppose there is more than one answer to this, but from what I've studied from the Scriptures, Satan's opposition to the God's sovereignty affects all intelligent life. His presence felt on Earth lends credence there can never be anyone more powerful using the most extreme situations to present these charges.

No, no, we're not pawns at all. There is no game, it's a test. God always has control, we simply have to have opposition to be able to choose God's side. There's no point to being here if we don't have choice. We have to change in order to become like God, and that is the whole plan. Without choice, there is no change. If Satan were to have had his plan imlemented, everything would have been chosen for us, and we would have had no change. If we didn't know sadness and sorrow, we wouldn't be able to know the difference and choose happiness and joy, and through our choices, we learn what path will bring us the good.

Leo, you're right about creatures of evil being creatures of darkness.

A while ago, Leo, you wrote that Paul's first lie was that he was a saint. Where in scripture (besides the name of the books, which were given by the early Catholic portion of Christianity) did he ever claim to be a saint? In the Catholic sense of the term? To me, saint has always simply meant "follower of God or Christ," not "anointed holy representative of God" or whatever it is that the Catholics mean by that. And disciple means basically the same thing, maybe a little more. And how is it that you think Paul is a false apostle?

Lucifer is the covering cherub, but he is not, nor has he ever been satan.

Wrong being, satan was created a murderer...

In revelations, it says satan is the great dragon. Seven headed, and with red scales I think.

Satan and Lucifer are the same if you would care to look at the points

I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven (Luke 10:18) in this satan is called a great light and lucifers name being light bringer it fits

Just like Lucifer in Isaiah, Satan goes to hell:

Satan was cast out into the earth (Revelation 12:9) just like lucifer Satan was thrown into the earth and so he was thrown into hell like Lucifer so we can once more call them the same

in one version of the old testiment their is no satan just Lucifer

now moving away from this all I am a satanist and seeing as most of the different docterines of the satanic church preach them as the same I can safelly believe they are the same being that we look at lucifer more closely than other people

finally Revelation authors describe a Satan which falls from heaven to hell, just as the Lucifer did in Isaiah, and furthermore the Satan they describe has the same light-giving property that the name Lucifer represents. Clearly, then authors either thought the two beings were one and the same, or at least that the Isaiah Lucifer prefigured the appearance of a Lucifer by another name, Satan.

Sure that would have been easy. But you got to remember, adam and Eve were there, and the angels were all around God watching. If he just instantly killed Satan right there, what kind of message would that be sending out? Well they would start to give way to doubt, like maybe God was afraid of such an attack, and therefore hiding something. Serious issues were raised by Satan such as the righteousness and rightfulness of God's sovereignty. The ones watching God kill Satan might then think that he was withholding from mankind freedom that would contribute to their happiness, and that man could live independent from God. God wanted these issues to be settled, so he allowed humans to rule themselves, which just goes to prove that man cant live without God, because what government has ever proved a success?

Oh and concerning the devil, he is not dipicted as the horned guy with red tights and a pitch fork or what not. And his name was not Lucifer. Lucifer was just a made up name of the Devil, which displays him to be glorious since it literally means "full of light." In the bible it just says in one passage, "shining one." But it is because Satan was once a very beautiful angel.

So now god serves us? he created us and now he must make our lives perfect and pan out every sort of flaw we come across? God doesn't need to do anything at all for us. If God did 1 good thing for one person in the whole of human existence, then that would be plenty enough to deserve my praise. Think about that. A perfect being that #1 created us #2 loves us #3 allows us to talk to him #4 created heaven for us. Thats pretty crazy in itself.

The fact that he does anything is enough to give him credit for. Humans fall short of what we are supposed to be. He allows us to make choices.

Another thing is that we don't know how much god is preventing. God could be (i'm sure he is) preventing hell on earth. We just don't see it. All we see is the most horrible things.
