Your not going to tell me why you think it is illogical? THe only conclusion I can draw is that you cant find a reason it is.

God is almost always defined as being both omnipotent and all loving. The universe we observe is not what such a god would create.
      [/b]
so does that denigh the existance of a God, who is neither good nor evil?

Also, the idea that god is necessary to explain existence is redundant considering that the premise is that the universe could not have always existed, therefore was created by a being that has always existed.
      [/b]
      what is wrong with that?

I would again cite the lack of compelling reason to believe in such a god. I would again cite the lack of reason to select any one particular brand of god over another.
      [/b]
I'm not asking you to exept a religion, I'm asking you to tell me why you dont think ther is a God of any veriety

      That statement alone is worthless.
      [/b]
I agree. As you know, I am currently copllecting evedence to post in my thread. I am just stating a fact, however.

You're not the one that should be complaining about unanswered questions.
      [/b]
So you say, but you havn't answerd my question, either.

      That statement alone is worthless.
      [/b]
I thought you didn't like typing things over and over?
You asked a question based on opinion, I answerd, so it isn't worthless. You asked if there is a flaw and I said yes.
would you like me to explain why?

I don't know how you missed it, considering that I asked you to answer it twice after I originally posted it.
      [/b]
well, I did. I will answer it now.

Why do you think there is no Flying Spaghetti Monster. Please give your scientific evedence.
      [/b]
I didn't say I didn't. However, the concept of a God, no matter what His discription, is not illogical, nor does scince contradict it. You are, in fact, asking the question I asked you. Now, stop beating around the bush and say clearly why you dont.

Wow, keeper. You sure are good at circular logic. Just keep running round and round...never offer any proof.

You are shifting the burden of proof. You are the one claiming that there is a God. So prove it or shut up.

I asked him a question he is not answering, Friend. This is not circuler logic, this is an atemt to understand why he feals as he does, and what proof he has.

He made a clame that God is against logic, now he must say why.

If you cant see this, Friend, then how blind are you? You ask me for proof, yet give none of your own.

Belief is the confidence in the truth or existence of something not immediately susceptible to rigorous proof.
So any counter arguments will not likely sway a strong believer's mind. It will only irritate you more. So why let it bother you so?

In the begining i said God may even just be a force. And in science there are thiings called forces. Now why couldnt there be a all power, over running everything. God force?

What? Do you even remember what the original statement was? I said that god is an invention of a religion I don't believe in. You asked me how I knew that, and the answer is so painfully obvious that I'm not even going to waste my time.

Yes, it does. This was covered in the latter half of that paragraph.

Why do you have to keep rewording the same question? I'm just going to copy and paste my answer every time unless you can point to some fault in my reasoning.

What!? You still haven't posted that?! Hahahaha! Whatever happened to "If I don't post it by the end of the month(last month), you can call me a liar" or whatever you said? Yeah, I can state all kinds of "facts", too, watch:

I don't. I've been copying and pasting because you've not been asking anything new nor addressing my points properly.

Opinions have nothing to do with it. I was either correct or not. It was a factual statement.

      Actually, I wholeheartedly agree, Howie.

Religion requires, at SOME point, a leap of faith. A jump from reasoning to belief that does not involve logic or rationality.

This is my main gripe with Christians and religious people in general. There are TWO types of "believers". The logos - those that arrive at their faith via logic; and the mythos - those that arrive at their faith through this "leap of faith". Those for which, faith by nature is contradictory to, in spite of, or SEPERATE from reason.

I have NO problem with religious people of the "Mythos" variety. Religious people who acknowledge that their faith is seperate from logic, reason, and evidence, are FINE by me. Because that way, THEY know where they're coming from, and they proclaim the nature of their faith as seperate from reason.

It is believers who purport to be of the "Logos" variety that piss me off. Faith neccessitates a leap of faith. Faith cannot be logical. What annpoys me is that some people, such as you, Keeper - make this leap of faith, but then retrospectively try to reason their beliefs. Beliefs which, by nature, cannot be reasoned.

I don't claim to know anything, and I certainly don't!

However, I think as a Christian it's possible to have a little logical reasoning AND faith. I'm not going to throw logic completely out the window as a Christian, but also know that logic alone defies religious belief. Sure, one could come up with theories about how the universe actually supports religion... but religion to me should be just an attempt at personal enlightenment. What is enlightenment? The word itself means to literally "lighten oneself" with an understanding of something unknown, often to a higher state of conciousness.

What constantly bugs me about organized religion is the arrogance. These religions claim to KNOW what God and the afterlife are, what God thinks, and that they indeed exist in the first place. I understand having a gut "feeling" that there's more out there than what we see, but to claim to know what it is!?!

To me, the simple acknowledgement that there may be something bigger out there is faith. How one show's their faith I would call religion. Religion should not be attempt to explain everything regardless of science and logic. Then again, science shouldn't claim to know everything, either.

      Hahahaha.

'Life' is your biggest argument? For what? For existance? lol.

Saying 'well we exist, so THERHE HAS 2 B A GAWD!1!1' makes you a total retard, that at some point in his life allways turn to some god, Christian, muslim and maybe even the flying spagetti monster, because you are to stupid to realise it is made up. Not like you actually look into (research) a religion.

Anyhow, that post of you kind of ends this topic regarding you, since even if you realise you have no proof of god what so ever you will still remain a retard that will probably end up facist or mao-like-communist.

However, Children, don't end up like Mr Dropout, actually think about everything you percieve. And never stop thinking, like Mr Dropout.

I hope some people Will see you as an example NOT to follow.

I was actually going to edit my post, because it was to rude. But afterall, all it was was a reply to:

So don't start the rudeness shit Some people keep up the kind approach, I respect them. I however, have no hope anymore for Mr Dropout, so Mr Dropout can have some of his unrefined ungrounded abusive claims right back at him.
