I can believe he's 15 that statement is pretty typical of a common child's mind (ages 8-12). The crazy thing to me Universal mind is that you're commending his ignorance. Maybe I don't fully understand because I'm not Atheist, so my way of thinking is totally different from yours. Whatever the case may be that statement in itself is probably the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. It wasn't just that statement. I mainly quoted it to show whom I was addressing. But that statement did show some insightful skepticism concerning the Judeo-Christian God. His name is not Allah, Bill, or Ralph or anything like that. His proper name is based on his common name. It's pretty funny if you think about it. What if my name was Human (capital "H") and I named myself that? It would be sort of arrogant, don't you think? Is that sarcasm? No. I don't think most 15 year olds have the level of insight you have into religion.

IMO if you want to debate you need to take every step to make your credibility stand out.
