Lets put it in a different perspective. Would you want some cult to call you another religion after you die (not calling the Mormon church a cult)? I certainly wouldn't.
Even when a deceased person is baptized by the church it doesn't automatically mean anything. We believe that those on the other side have the opportunity to accept or reject the ordinance. All it means to us is that the deceased has had their work done, not that they are automatically made Mormons, in anyone's eyes. Besides, if you don’t believe our ordinance means anything, I don’t see any reason to be concerned about it.
And Sandform, it is rare, but I know a number of people who have been excommunicated.
