The effect of temperature on lucidity and sleeping in general

Introduction: So just what the title says, this study I propose is about temperature, since I only found very few topics about temperature here and none of them lived for long or was a serious research thread in this section. But maybe I could include the posts of those threads in this experiment if necessery. I will keep this thread updated if something new comes up. Enough with the introduction, on with the LSOP.

Target: Finding a relation between temperature, sleep and lucidity, and put the data in correlation to the variables.

It'd be necessery for every participant to either post several blocks of data, or to post the average data of a few days with same temperature conditions. The experiment hasn't started yet but once it will I will make a fool-proof description with examples of what is needed exactly. Here's what data is needed later on.

      Relevant data:
      - Quantity of sleep
      - Quality of sleep
      - Quantity of LDs
      - Quality of LDs
      (Optional, but might be helpful)
      - Quality of dream recall

      Variables:
      - Room Temperature
      - Outside Temperature
      - Temperature range of your country of origin
[- Temperature range of your current country if different from above]
[- Time to get used to the different climate]
      (Optional, but might be helpful)
      - Current season in your country
      - Weather
      - Humidity
      - Age/Gender (this would be only useful if a lot of people participate)

Sidenote: If there's something special about you that could be related to the data, just include it.

Hypothesis: This part is a bit tricky, since it's a general research topic rather than a observable phenomenon. Obviously the general hypothesis is that temperature is related with sleep and LDs, the question is in what way and how much.

      How the experiment goes:
1: Discussion, if you feel there's something wrong or anything else that should be considered, post it (this should take a few days, maybe a week)
2: Finish refining the thread and start executing the experiment (this should stretch over several months before going onto step 3)
3: Come to a conclusion (while leaving step 2 open though, in case some important data pops up later)

Currently we are in step 1.

Notes: I'm thinking about making this the discussion thread and making a thread for people to post the data in later, for the sake of having it seperated.
I myself might not be able to fill in on data about LDs, however in my case the heat severly reduces my overall sleep quality as well as the quality of my dream recall, I suspect this is not exactly making it easier for me. Even if achieving lucidity isn't hard itself, when you can't sleep properly... well you probably get the idea. So any data of people who didn't have their first LD yet but tried for a while is more than welcome too.

Personal Records so far: Max lucids per day: 2 | Max lucids per week: 4 | Max lucids per month: 8 | Max dreams recalled in one night: 17
      Longest lucid dream: ~35min | Highest flight: zoomed out of common existence [WTF?] | Fastest speed: FTL | DILD/EILD/DEILD [X] | WILD/VILD [X] | MILD/FILD/HILD [ ]
Interested to know how I got 17 dreams in one single night? And how I think I still could Improve? Check out my new and improved Dream Recall Compendium: The Dream Recall Compendium
