Awareness + State of Mind research.

I've been experimenting with different methods of combining awareness with other states of mind to produce a distinctly different states of mind. I'm particularly talking about the kind of thoughts that pour into my mind as a result of such experiments. The experiments involve holding two states of mind at once, and upon letting go of them discovering another state of mind. Awareness+logic = lucidity? Awareness+insight = ? Awareness+mystery =creative thinking Awareness+love = ? Awareness+introspection = beauty? Awareness+aestetics = ? Awareness + contemplation = ? I guess by awareness I mean meta-awareness - awareness of being aware. Combined with other authentic state of mind (ex: staring into the sky and letting the mind be immersed in how far those stars really are) it produces a distinct pattern of thinking. Anybody noticed something similar or can solve the equations above?

Have you tried Awareness just by itself? I dont mean being aware of awareness, I mean being immersed in awareness so that you are aware but not aware of the awareness. Kinda like losing the ego, the self.

Awareness+Awareness = The key to the universe? the awareness of being aware of being aware of being aware. Wow, typing that made the word "aware" loose it's meaning xD

Awareness+aestetics = Perception Awareness + contemplation = Overthinking Very cool! Today I also spontaneously discovered that Awareness +Aestetics = perception. A keen and amazing power of perception. As I was driving, I passed an arched overpass with a winged sculpture above it. At first I was like duh... waste of taxpayers dollars on such beauty, but a moment later I traced what I saw to the original intention of the architects. Flowing archways topped by wings raised towards the sky. Inspiring, beautiful, totally a departure from pure utility kind of achitecture we experience today. Yet preserved in concrete for future generations, completely solid. And as I kept driving, within a couple minutes I became more aware as scenery rolled from around turns - scenery that I saw for the first time in my life, and probably the last. As I glanced down the side streets, I became more aware as the imagery filled my visual field ("rolled in"), only to refocus on the road a moment later. This perception had a certain quality to it, it was very aware of details, intentions, shapes, colors, composition, yet none of these were verbalized, they were intuitively understood with each glance. It also appears that, it may be possible to "chain" multiple transitions and arrive at a distinct state of mind through a series of transformations. Losing the ego is a state by itself, it adds another dimension to the equation, although I'm not sure if the ego can be lost through awareness. How can one lose the ego? For me, pure awareness is very rare, it always gets muddled by thoughts :/ Awareness of awareness sounds really cool, this is what the enlightened masters teach, it's supposed to be easy, although I never experienced that. Here are a couple more Awareness + external passive perception = Beauty Awareness + internal passive perception = Love PS. An interesting fact about this state that after the event is over, it is recalled, but it's intensity and beauty is lost. It can only be felt completely as it is happening, and later rationalizations do not do justice to the experience - it is very difficult to express it in ordinary words...

What about: Awareness + Fear? Awareness + Anger?

From personal experience, Awareness + anger = understanding and compassion instead of anger. It is still far from the saintly "slap me on the other cheek", but it is miles away from the angry state of mind.

That combined with a sense for yourself (here: Introspection) will allow you to "ascend" into using that understanding to improve your self, and proabably with that your surroundings. Also this seems like an interesting topic. Ev, could you try to keep the front post filled with the things already posted? So that new posts will be more likely to contribute instead of repeating stuff, just in case this topic gets more posts later on.

Yep people try to rationallize other peoples experience all day long with out having a personal experience of their own. What a fact it is. Feeling it is so much better than rationalizing it. Ahh! I get it now. thanks

awereness is not a logical thing, like this is it and that it`s not experiment with trance states like hypnosis and meditation and you`ll find it out so awereness aka beingness aka zen aka being present is more like the absence of those stuff you`d like to add them up in a secret formula it`s a right brain thing, it`s not logical, it`s not linear
