I think you missed the original meaning of his post. That a child or someone who otherwise wouldn't be influenced to smoke Weed could stumble across this. Then you go off on the whole "Weed is safe" spill. I really don't care what you say, I know I wouldn't want my little brother "theoretically" stumbling across this, weather you think its safe or not.
I'm not preaching, I am an ex pot/drug user. My major is currently Psychology and I have been the the Drug and Alcohal course- I am well versed in this realm.
Also, after smoking marijuana you do not fall directly into a deep stage of sleep (Stage 4 or 5). It is impossible. Your brain MUST work its way through each stage consecutively. If your brain notices that you are ever falling asleep to quickly, you will be jerked awake. However marijuana may have been shown to help you work through these stages quicker, and wallow in the deeper ones for a bit longer.
It's obvious that this topic wont be closed, so let me help you out. When you say "joints" and list how many someone has smoked, your flawing your own experiment. Not everyone smokes a Joint. Not every joint contains the same amount of weed. Typically it is .5.-.7 grams. Some are .2-.4 and others can be packed to about 1.0 grams. Also, everyones tolerance is totally different. Someone could smoke a 1.5gram blunt and be lost, and the person next to them could smoke it and just have a moderate head change. I think you see where this is going.....
(Also, your signature....It's quite ignorant and obnoxious- Way to misrepresent what most true believers of Ganja believe. You are in fact speaking out and judging the "others" that speak out and judge against you. Your riding the same boat....)
(Do you smoke occasionally? Or is it 98% of the time like your signature says? Not a real question, I couldn't care less)
Good luck!
My advice- Stick with regular sleep patterns, maybe miss alot of sleep for a day or two to miss some REM periods, which your mind will then make up for during the following nights of sleep.
(By the way, I have been clincally diagnosed with OCD and GAD, with severe depression at one point. Marijuana was my crutch for a while. It wasn't a healthy crutch, for me, but thats my opinion- And everyone is entitled to their own. I've seen the road from both sides. Don't take this post as a argue about pot, look at the deeper meaning. We could all argue the safeness/legallity/harm/effects of pot all day long. Lets ignore this and get on with the experiment.)
