Choose "real" reality aspects, that fascinate you - to learn about them - find out new things - and have your mind blown!

I was looking at the title - then at the forum-section this is in - and thought - okay - before some crap shows up - I will post some real science being done.
There is no reason to doubt the sources - these are perfectly legit studies by perfectly legit neuroscientists.
A thread on the long term view of society-development next door brought these links of Oneironaut to my mind primarily - thought they fit here nicely.

This is something I care about - not so sure why actually - people of the beyond persuasion so much wish for the "supernatural" being for real - for all the interesting consequences of shared dreaming for example.

But instead of deluding oneself - why not work on realizing such scenarios?
I am pretty convinced, there will be virtual reality, where you can share your reality/dream/some other scenario together - and esp. who is young just now might very well live to try it out.

I am very happy with my conviction, that my dreams are my dreams and only that.
I wouldn´t find it nice, if I were to - absolutely unexpectedly, I got to say - find out, that there is an intrusion possible completely without technology and by - well - lets say people without a lot of background in anything - even mystical practice - on here.

I keep wondering why so many - with rare exceptions - like Mylynes or shadowofwind - always only see the positive side of affairs, and don´t think things through at all.

Funnily - seeing the links above - I guess everybody gets a little creepy feeling, about how far this can be driven.
But at the very least - one would probably know, that one is accessible - hopefully have a choice too - and some security measures in place.
If there comes a culture with mandatory implants for children - weell - we will see.
There are some interesting science fiction stories - dealing with a scenario with full telepathic potential being realized by some tech or other..
