I am typing-out the sixth book of the New Testiment in this thread. Not every one has a Bible handy to check if what someone is saying is in the book or not. So I thought I would put The book of Romans here for folk to look at.

The thread that inspired this thread can be found here:

I switched to a larger print Bible.

      Romans Chapter 1 (v8-17)

(v8) Let me say first first of all that your faith in God is becoming known throughout the world. How I thank God through Jesus Christ for each one of you.

(v9) God knows how often I pray for you.

Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heart by telling others the Good News about his Son.

(v10) One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you.

(v11) For I long to visit you so I can share a spiritual blessing with you that will help you grow strong in the Lord.

(v12) I am eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. In this way, each of us will ne a blessing to the other.

(v13) I want you to know, dear brothrrs and sisters, that I planned many times to visit you, but I was prevented until now. I want to work among you and see good results, just as I have done among other Gentiles.

(v14) For I have a great sense of obligation to people in our culture and to people in other cultures, to the educated and uneducated alike.

(v15) So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach Gods Good News.

(v16) For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes -- Jews first and also Gentiles.

(v17) This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight.

This is accomplished from start to finish by faith.

      As the scriptures say,

"It is through faith that a righteous person has life.

      Romans Chapter 1 (v18-32)

(v18)*But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

(v19)*They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.

(v20)*For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

(v21)*Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.*

(v22)*Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.*

(v23)*And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

(v24)*So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.*

(v25)*They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.*

(v26)*That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.*

(v27)*And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

(v28)*Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.*

(v29)*Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness,

      sin,
      greed,
      hate,
      envy,
      murder,
      quarreling,
      deception,
      malicious behavior, and
      gossip.*

      (v30)*

      They are
      backstabbers,
      haters of God,
      insolent,
      proud, and
      boastful.

They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents.*

(v31)*They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy.*

(v32)*They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

      Hey Blackbird

It is Wed 22-May here. Last Sunday a had a sync. I got a bee-in-my-bonnet about getting more toilet paper. We had about 24+ rolls so we wouldn't run out befor Monday but I got this urge to trapes all the way up to Coles supermarket to get bum-wipes.

On Sunday, Coles closes at 5pm. I was half way to Coles when this loud music was echoing around the buildings of quiet West Adelaide City, ... curious.

I bought stuff at Coles and walked home a different way and there on Light Square was a lot of people singing. I crossed over and started asking folk what was happening. There were no signs, ... strange ...

The third person I asked said she wasn't sure and thet she had just got there to pick up a friend to give her a lift home.

It was a large open prayer meet. Organised by several churches, to pray for Adelade. They had come together on Light Sqare to pray and not advertise their individual churches. ... Wow.

I asked the woman what church she went too. She went to the church next to the WEA.

      Sync Sync Sync

The last time I went to the WEA was when I attended that astral travel course with that Crystal woman and I bought that DragonArise crystal necklace.

Remember Blackbirdrising? I called you DragonArise and imagined sending you energy in that tread you opened.

Oh, I love your new avatar.

Any way, I was in the middle of enjoying Knight31's thread when. that interdenomination pray meet happened. So I began reading Romans because I'm going to that church, next to the WEA, on Sunday to see that woman I met on Light Square.

      Ahhhh!!!

I will print-out your lovely new avatar and hold it during pray-time at the morning service. I will ask if they have a healing prayer meeting where I can bring a healing prayer request.

I'll keep you posted, here, about that.

      Romans Chapter 2 (1-11)

(v1)*You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things.*

(v2)*And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things.

(v3)*Since you judge others for doing these things, why do you think you can avoid God’s judgment when you do the same things?*

(v4)*Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

(v5) But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

(v6)*He will judge everyone according to what they have done.*

(v7)*He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.

(v8)*But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness.*

(v9)*There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.*

(v10)*But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.*

(v11)*For God does not show favoritism.

      Romans chapter 2

(v12)*When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it.*
(v13*)For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.*

(v14)*Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it.*

(v15)*They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.*

(v16)*And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life. This is my message

      Romans Chapter 2 (v17-29)

(v17) You who call yourselves Jews are relying on God’s law, and you boast about your special relationship with him.

(v18) You know what he wants; you know what is right because you have been taught his law.*

(v19) You are convinced that you are a guide for the blind and a light for people who are lost in darkness.

(v20) You think you can instruct the ignorant and teach children the ways of God. For you are certain that God’s law gives you complete knowledge and truth.

(v21) Well then, if you teach others, why don’t you teach yourself? You tell others not to steal, but do you steal?*

(v22) You say it is wrong to commit adultery, but do you commit adultery? You condemn idolatry, but do you use items stolen from pagan temples?

(v23) You are so proud of knowing the law, but you dishonor God by breaking it.

(v24) No wonder the Scriptures say,

“The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.”

(v25) The Jewish ceremony of circumcision has value only if you obey God’s law. But if you don’t obey God’s law, you are no better off than an uncircumcised Gentile.

(v26) And if the Gentiles obey God’s law, won’t God declare them to be his own people?*

(v27) In fact, uncircumcised Gentiles who keep God’s law will condemn you Jews who are circumcised and possess God’s law but don’t obey it.

(v28) For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision.

(v29) No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God’s Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.

as promised here is an update.

      Blackbirdrising

I was invited, (by the woman I met in Light Square), to go to a youth meet at her church, tonight.

      Winkie Pratney[[/b] (68 years old)

      spoke to the youth group.

      Sync, sync, sync.

On December 25, 2009, Pratney was admitted to Middlemore Hospital in New Zealand with an aneurysm and superbug infection, but later resumed his traveling ministries.
I got the above from Wikipedia when I Googled Winkie Pratney.

Tonight, during his humourous talk (about science evidence that the heart has neurons in it) he showed a photo of his brain showing one sixth of his brain destroyed by an anurism 3 years ago.

He lost 50 years of words and ressearch in that brain destruction.

The synchronicity is that Adam is recovering from the stroke he had in march.

here is a Youtube of Winkie teaching, as a young man in 1979. (aged about 34)

on Sunday after meeting that woman at the open-air prayer meet on the square, I looked at the above video because she sent me a text then an email about the youth meet where he will speak.

I searched Youtube and found it.

As I watched it, it occured to me that I was missing my favorite TV shows. then I realised that I didn't care.

that was 3 days ago now, and I still haven't turned my TV on. I have apparently losst three addictions since watching the above Youtube.

      Internet addiction
      TV addiction
      Food addiction.

      I wasn't expecting that.

Oh My God!!!! Adams got the same kind of anurism - he lost 30 years of words/music. God is healing him so He can fill that space with His words/music!!! Adam is healing a little more everyday in EVERY way, praise God. He and I are both ALSO healing from addictions!!!!! Mine is smoking and soda, and his is smoking and alcohol.

I get so blown away by how in sync we are!!! You're such a blessing, thank you for taking the photo with you to church!!! Adam says "God bless you, thank you very much."

This whole process is so amazing!!

      Sunday 26 May
      (Winkie Pratney)

      He began his message with:

"Winkie is my name, I can't help it. I am not a Purple Telletubby".

      *** (1:19) 821,025 views

Funny Video , Teletubbies Tinky Winky Doll Funny Review Video by Mike Mozart @JeepersMedia - YouTube

***Youtube Title is "Funny Video Telletubbies Tinky Winky Doll ...

      Winkyie's amazing church message continued.

      (...)

A strange thing happened to me in 2009. Overnight I lost 5 decades of nouns. All the names of things. Which is a weird thing to look at that (his arm) and know what it is but not know what it's called.

This anurism, it's not a stroke. A stroke is when you have a clot and I'm already "a clot" (laughter)

An anurism is when something "blows out"

If it had happened here (points to another place on his head) I wouldn't be here tonight. But it happened on my left hand side.

      (...)

(2:15) This side of the brain holds the music. the other side holds the lyrics.

      (...)

(7:30) I believe God speaks in ways we don't know. Not necessarily religious, I believe God speaks through movirs. I believe he speaks through sports of all diferent kinds. He also speaks through songs.

      {then Winky teaches us (the congregation) a song}

      lots of laughter

      (...)

      (14:00)

By using about 80 songs from about 1962 through to 2010 and re-recording them, This side of my brain is gone where all the lyrics are but I can still read. So by putting the lyrics up and replaying the tracks ah, a funny thing happened ... How many men here can remember the first girl you ever fell in love with?...

      (15:00)

Very many times if you can't remember it was Ruth and she was 5 years old, but do remember a song that was playing at that same time.

And if I played that tune, even though they can't see the lyric, they not only remember the song they start to remember the words. And if Ruth was the girl they will remember it was Ruth.

They might not remember she was 5 years old but they will remember how old they were.

      So this is what happens.

The storage that goes on in this side of the brain does not just store the music it stores memories that are connected to the music. (16:00)

      (...)

      (17:27)

So, I'll tell you something odd that happened to me.

In putting together these 80 songs, unconverted (worldly) songs, a weired thing happened.

The area of my brain that had been destroyed with the loss of those 5 decades that contained the lyrics and the memories .... today I have 90%, at least, of what I lost in that anurism restored in less than 3 years. (18:00)

the message is 1 hour and 20 minutes. I turned my phones sound off and it's internet. Then opened my recording app (tape-a-talk) and slipped this phone into my top pocket.

I wish I could send it to you but any more than 10 minutes won't send.

      Romans Chapter 3*(1-8)

(v1) Then what’s the advantage of being a Jew? Is there any value in the ceremony of circumcision?*

(v2) Yes, there are great benefits! First of all, the Jews were entrusted with the whole revelation of God.

      (v3) True, some of them were unfaithful;

but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful?*

      (v4) Of course not!

Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true.

As the Scriptures say about him,

“You will be proved right in what you say,
****and you will win your case in court.” (Ps 51:4)

      (v5) But, some might say,

“our sinfulness serves a good purpose, for it helps people see how righteous God is. Isn’t it unfair, then, for him to punish us?”

(This is merely a human point of view.)*

(v6) Of course not! If God were not entirely fair, how would he be qualified to judge the world?*

(v7) But, someone might still argue,

“how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”

(v8) And some people even slander us by claiming that we say,

“The more we sin, the better it is!”

Those who say such things deserve to be condemned.
