Actually, at the risk of bringing all of this humor to a halt, I would wonder whether Orderlies are not some kind of Divine Agent. Indeed, people can mostly do for a living whatever they like, and people who can qualify to become Orderlies could have well enough found other careers that could have suited their abilities just as well. But they decided to go into a Career of Service. Yes, I know that many an Orderly comes to rue the day they choose to become an Orderly, and that most Orderlies are jaded and bitter. But, even still, they remain the same kind-hearted soul, deep inside, that made the original altruistic decision, and they continue to march on with their Life of Service even if they no longer smile much about it.
