Ok, "in a nutshell" means you take a large quantity of information or a long story and condense it into something short and easy to understand. What does it have to do with nutshells? What grows from an acorn...a HUGE tree. So when you take that HUGE tree (story/info) and put it into a nutshell (the short easy version) you get the phrase....in a nutshell. |
