.. when we have creatures here on earth that look like they're from another world! I was watching the nature channel today and some some really bizarre looking critters. I thought it would be fun for members to post their favorite ones, the weirder the better (preferably real, not cryptids). Maybe it will inspire a lucid dream for some, or just fun to look at. Here's mine:

Cool thread. This one's so bizarre it's hard to even conceptualise what you're looking at. It's a barreleye fish. The small light patches on the front are not its eyes; the green things are. This fish's entire upper head is transparent, acting like a lens, and its eyes perpetually face upwards to look for predators.

Spoiler for At least I'm nice to Arachnophobics: I thought I'd determined that the most terrifying spider to me is the Giant Huntsman spider, but this is worse. I can't stand long legs. I would prefer to cut off my left pinky finger than come in contact with that spider. Cool thread. Actually, Dianeva, since this post was a bit senseless, and the content can be "something that everyone can discuss, or some fun game or something." then I think Senseless Banter is a good spot for this thread! I sincerely don't mean for that to be a criticism, just an observation.

That's not a true spider.
