It is about 8:00 am eastern United States time, and I'm 2/3 of the way done with Grand Theft Auto 3.

I estimate I'll complete 3 sometime around 11 or 12, then start up Grand Theft Auto VC, hopefully complete that sometime early tommorow morning, and push through San Andreas till about 5 pm April 28th. Yes, I will sleep.

So, here's my log, and I'll return at major key points.

Now, I don't know why I'm posting this, but I want to get in the zone for this shit, you know? Straight up fuck these games up. If anyone else is doing a run of these games, feel free to post how tired you are of Grand Theft Auto, and how you worry that when GTA IV finally does come out, you'll be so damn sick of GTA games that you actually won't want to play it.

I should be on SA, but I was on the phone with Xbox Failure Support for 71 minutes today, arguing with the idiot supervisor.

I also took a break to go out with my friends.

Well, its 4:12 pm my time, I have little under 7 hours to beat the main story. I don't think that's possible considering how big the game is.

I mean, I'll try it, but I don't know.

Well, I'll just wait some months/years for the PC version to come out and jizz all over the improved controls and graphics, modability and customizability, and better multiplayer as all PC ports.

Serously, get a console. Console FTW. I do play Halo PC as well though.

Surprisingly, games nowerdays cost the same across all platforms. A newly released game costs just the same on all systems (disregarding handhelds).

In fact, the PC can sometimes cost MORE because of upgrades you may need. No offense, but I think that unless you actually have a dual analog controller for your PC, platforming games, as well as adventure games (like gta), play like crap. I'm all for PC first person shooters, but I can't stand a game like Grand theft auto on PC.

And as far as "improved graphics and multiplayer", you can only improve the graphics so far, considering it will be a port of the console games, not a completely redesigned game in itself. And as far as multiplayer goes, Xbox Live and Playstation Network just give Grand Theft Auto a bigger boost in specific. If you play on Xbox Live or PSN, you get direct uploads to global leaderboards, rankings, and the ability to chat with your friends directly without a third party chat server like Ventrilo or Teamspeak.

With everything said above, you could see why someone would just give the 400 dollars for a Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. Most decent PC's cost in the ballpark of 1,000 bucks in order to run Crysis on even medium settings, and not to mention, you have to constantly worry about viruses and other things slowing down your machine.

Edit: Oh, and as far as your Playstation 2 goes, I've only had to get a new Ps2 once, when they changed it from the larger version to the "slim version". I've never had a disk fail unless it was too scratched up, and I know for a fact that they released demo discs seasonly for about 5 dollars a disc if you didn't recieve them with some sort of Official Playstation Magazine.

That's why the Playstation 2 still sells just as high as the Xbox 360 and it's next gen counterpart.
