Had to be done.

Here, the mage hunter has caught a specimen of the rare blackmagius knifewieldus, and here poses dressed in the outer cloak, holding up the head to make a record of the successful hunt.

The costume consists of a robe made of two sheets of blue cloth (the sleeves are about 3/4 inches too short for my arms), a pair of gardening gloves, a taffetta and canvas witch's hat painted yellow, and a mask made of multilayered black mesh-fabric-stuff.

In case you don't know, it's Black Mage from the webcomic 8-but theater, based on the black mage job class from final fantasy 1.

Halloween rules. I always go all-out on costumes and jack-o'-lantern designs.

not going out, but I read a couple of good ideas that I thought were
pretty good if I did.

buy a large bag of sponges at a dollar store, then stick them all over your-
self (can dress as you would normally). When people ask you what the hell
you are anyway......you say.....you're self-absorbed!

or

Dress all up like a cowboy, then put on only a Darth Vader mask, then top
it off with the cowboy hat. When people ask you what you are you say...
Garth Vader!

I thought they were funny anyway.

Every so often, my mom is a responsible adult for Halloween. With a t-shirt that says so.

@Supreme: I love wordplay costumes. At least, ones that people didn't just buy from the store because they couldn't bother thinking of a decent costume themself. (Do you know how many people this year are going to be a whoopie cushion, because wal-mart was selling the costumes cheap?)

ok just a short story here. lol One time on Halloween at a bar, there was this
guy walking around all wrapped up in a sheet. It was tied shut at his ankles
and tied shut at his neck. The ends of the sheet overlapped a little where it
was tied. He could hardly walk. Sticking out of the neck part of the sheet were
about 30 bare branches he had tucked in there. The sticks went all around
his head with just one or two at the front of his face. The ends of the sticks
were all higher then his head and were all painted red at the very ends.
So I finally went up to him and said....ok I give up....what the hell are you??
He said....jeez everyone keeps on asking me what I am.....isn't it obvious that
I'm a joint!!

Yeah he is (no offense, slayer, meant in jest)

So, since nobody else has finished their costumes yet, (don't blame ya, Halloween's just my favorite holiday and I get ready early) I guess.. Maybe continue sharing stories about costumes and halloweens?

One year, I wasn't feeling well, I thought my costume was too hot but everyone else said they were cold. I felt like I was going to throw up, went home, and passed out on the couch. Cool thing was, that year I got more candy than usual, depsite travelling half the distance I normally did.

No party anecdotes yet. Will think of the coolest costumes I'ved seen on other people.
