      Lightbulb Extremely Critical State Testing

Well, to cut to the chase, when ever you decide to, you criticise the world around you. I know this sounds like the normal method, but you take it to the extreme, i.e thinking "Surely that isn't possible" even when it probably is.
e.g You see a bird, and think "I must be dreaming, that bird is floating!"
and when you see a person you could think "since when have humans had two legs? I must be dreaming!"

This is in the earliest stages but I thought I'd put it in testing area, so please reply, preferably after trying the technique!

Well then how do you prove yourself wrong? If you were to do this then everything would qualify as a dream and would be hard to differentiate. But perhaps it helps as it forces you to think maybe?

Yes but this could also have serious side effects...I mean it would probably common sense to actually try something impossible instead of jumping off a building or running out in front of car because you tell yourself that cars don't exist anymore

But other than that I guess you could take it to the extremes.

now that i think about it, this is a little too extreme. if you draw no line between what's logical (flying bird) and what isn't (flying tree), then how do you conclude you are dreaming? it's a cool way of thinking but i don't think it'll help u get lucid dreams.

This a good method. The reasons are:

      1. It means you do RCs more often
      2. It means you are more likely to EXCPECT an RC to work. (Otherwise the RC will pass even when you are dreaming)

I'm not sure... to tell yourself a normal observation in waking life is an abnormal one won't work, in my opinion, because you know in the back of your mind that you're pretending to do a reality check when you actually believe it is real life. The brain will come to expect it to not work and it will automatically fail.

well i like it, i see nothing wrong with it, assuming that you dont actually start to believe birds shouldnt be able to fly, because then what everyone is saying is true. but i just see it as a good excuse to do RCs.
