So last night when I laid down to go to sleep i could hear my heart starts beating faster and faster I tried to ignore it but it wont go away and i could feel my body vibrating, does anybody know what this is? |

i got that once too! not sure if it is REM atonia, but it could be. I think mine is because excitements of lucid dreaming. |

I experience that a lot if my mind is too active when I'm trying to sleep. It's pretty much like your body is going to sleep, but your mind hasn't quite caught up with it yet. For me, I usually get the increased heart rate when I feel my body getting toward that sleep state, because I'm over excited that it might become a WILD. |

I think you're just imagining it. It's happened to me while trying to WILD before. I think it's the same type of thing that happens when people are on certain drugs, like pot, and they're sure their heart is beating really fast and they're going to die, while really they're imagining it or their perception of time is distorted. |
