Thread: Can't relax!

Hey,

I have a bit of a problem. I really enjoy doing activities such as reading or drawing. For these hobbies however, I must be relaxed. I may be in the middle of reading a book, and I'll get paranoid, and i'd have to check around my room to make sure there is no one around. I'll twitch a bit, or my mind will be full of thoughts. When I get going it's good, but it is very hard to get going.
I think there is a simple explanation. I hate silence. I just find something creepy about quietness. I feel that any second I could hear a scary noise, etc. I was thinking why this may be, and I think it may be something to do with my interest in music. I am ALWAYS doing something musical. If I'm not listening to music, I'll be strumming my guitar, wacking my drums, tapping my piano, and if there is no music in sight, I will tap and hum and sing.
Maybe as I am around music so much I can't relax without it? I don't know. But this brings me back to my question. I really need some methods to relax. Not in a stressful way, like the breathing exercises. Just relaxation.
