      File recovery Program?

Ok.... I'm very bored, so I was wondering if I could recover partitions that I wiped over a few months ago. Anyone know a program that could possibly do that?

Just for the record, I have a few programs for recovering deleted files, but they don't seem to do partitions.

Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download

That might do it, but I doubt it if it was a few months ago. When you delete a file, you mark it for destruction via overwrite. There may still be pieces intact, but if they've been overwritten more than a few times, you probably won't be able to recover them, even with advanced file recovery programs.

yeah I know... but I'm sorta hoping what I'm looking for didn't get overwritten.

But thanks for the program, I'll check it out right now.

      No problem.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, if you want to mangle files beyond recovery, you can use file shredder to perma-erase them. File Shredder
