I've been using Ubuntu for quite a while now, still on 8.04 O_O

I'm getting pretty good at the command line, I do quite a bit of things there, but still...I need someone to fully convince me to stop using GNOME. I like it, but it's slow. And then again, I do do certain things on it that I need it for.

So my fellow Linux users, convince me to drop GNOME on its ass.
