Getting a new computer, not sure what one is better.

So I think I've narrowed it down to two computers. As far as I can tell, the cheaper one is identical to the more expensive one except for the graphics card (or I may have missed something, entirely likely)

will I regret getting the lesser computer? is this a good price for the parts? which one is a better deal?

the computer will be used for playing games, so will they work for that?

      Newegg.com - CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 2054 Athlon II X2 255(3.1GHz) 4GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity ATI Radeon HD 5450 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

      Newegg.com - Open Box: CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 2055 Athlon II X2 255(3.1GHz) 4GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity ATI Radeon HD 5450 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

      Thanks in advance

Nothing that new, mostly steam games, (half life 2, team fortress) that crash on my laptop. I'm leaning twords getting the less expensive one and just upgrading the graphics card if need be, the systems are otherwise identical as far as I can tell.

Yeah, there identical... except the graphics card. But yeah, if your playing older games, stick with the cheaper one.

The two graphicscards are identical from what I can see, the difference is the CPU and the case. Looks like one of them is out of stock now though.

edit: oh I see, one of them has 512 more megabytes of video RAM. You don't really need more than 512MB for Source games, though 1GB is really nice to have. It just gives you a little more.

I'd go with the bigger one.

If your buying from that site, I think your stuck with the better one. The cheaper one is sold out

And Marvo... the CPU's are the same. Both are 3.1 GHz, 2 1mb cache, AM3 socket. And there both Dual core, 64 bit.

They are a different model number.

edit: Oh I see now, I was looking at the model number of the PC, not the CPU. Silly me.
