I can't even find this with Google search, and I need an answer now. How many hours before bedtime should I turn off my computer and keep low lights and noises if I want to sleep at night? Anyone have expert, sound advice here? |

Things are not as they seem
Light stimulates the brain and messes up your day/night cycle . Especially computer screens which give off very bright and intense light. I believe you should turn it off and avoid bright lights 1 - 2 hours before you go to sleep. |

I've never had issues with this, but I guess I've just gotten used to it. |

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

Yeah, I turn my monitor brightness on 0 as well. |

Do you sleep in the same room as your computer? The amount of light coming off an LCD is not enough to produce seritonine, it will not affect your sleeping. |
|
It's not always the amount of light. Although that also makes a difference. |
|
Using the computer late at night makes it harder for me to fall asleep. |
