Thread: Is my Gameboy Color supposed to do this when no game is in?

So, I got this gameboy color, and the games are coming in a few days. I tested it to see if it actually turned on, and noticed that the Nintendo logo thing was blacked out by a bar. Is this normal with no game in? I googled alot and saw stuff about this happening with games, but never could find if this is normal with no game in. Please give me a answer, I don't know if I can return it or not. :O

I mean, your gameboy color is probably pretty old by now and electronics can do some wonky shit when there's dust in their inner workings and stuff, that or you might have been dreaming or something, lol.
