A minor problem with the ask search engine

I don't know what happened but lately it seems to want to open up a new browser window instead of redirecting the one I'm currently using. I'm trying to optimize my battery life, so having multiple windows up gets annoying.

      Hmmm... Weird.

Why do you not use Google? It is my favourite by far.

      Solution: Don't use Ask.

Not using ask is not a solution. It's help me far more than google in the past so I'm rather fond of it.

How do you think having extra windows open affects your battery life? Not unless there's tons of flash and stuff on those pages, as far as I know, Ask.com doesn't have anything like that.

hmm... I admit I really don't know how the computer uses energy. It just makes sense to me the less stuff running, the longer I could maintain my battery life.
