This feeling when I try to WILD...

I tried to WILD last night after a brief WBTB.
When I got back into bed and began to relax, my breathing became a bit shallower as I was trying to "sleep breathe". I know this isn't dangerous or anything, however, after a while it felt like I really had to take a big breath in. It got me and I did. I didn't even borderline on SP that night.

This hasn't happened before, and I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I posted it here, but I have similar experiences whenever I'm in SP.

I'm fully paralyzed and can't make myself take deeper breathes.

It's not the shallow breathing, but this urge that I get to just take a massive breath. It's not that I necessarily feel deprived of oxygen.

Oh, I see. I experience that when I'm awake sometimes as well. It feels like I need a deep breath to catch up with my normal breathing, if that makes sense. What I usually do to avoid it is just continue taking small breaths but at a slightly faster interval.

Exactly. Thanks for the advice; I'll try that next time if it happens again. (:
