What should I focus on when WILDing

So last night I was WILDing again, it was the first time that I actually somewhat knew what I was doing. Several times I got to the point where my body felt like it was getting pulled away from my head, then I would think to myself, "this is a good sign, this should be happening, alright stay calm." just briefly and then the feeling would go away, I saw flashing lights a few times too. It would go away for awhile and I would almost quit when it would come back again. I tried it before I had sleep and after about 4 and a half hours. I know how every1 says you should only try after sleep but I actually felt like I got closer to SP before sleep because after sleep I couldn't keep my mind alert/awake as well and then I would get stressed out and I obviously couldn't WILD while stressed. I guess my question is, when the falling feeling happens what do I think or focus on so that it doesn't go away, nothing? And does what I'm saying about WBTB happen to anyone else?

Don't focus on the feelings of HI and SP, because focusing on them and recognizing them will most likely get you too excited or cause you to think about your bed or the real world and mess up your dream. Instead, wake yourself up in the middle of a REM cycle and you'll be tired enough to not care about any distractions. Then just go back to sleep as you normally would but try to keep your mind active. You need to focus less on all the strange feelings and just try to fall asleep. Once you're actually deep into HI and are seeing the hallucinations, you're in the middle of the transition to the dream state and probably won't accidentally wake up anyway.

I dont see how this works, how can you ''fall asleep'' but stay active, ALOT of people have to focus on SOMETHING to keep their MIND from falling asleep, i dont think i would be able to achieve this because id just fall asleep into a normal non-lucid dream.

the only thing you need to know, is that you should be trying to FALL ASLEEP. That's the main goal you're trying to achieve, so what you need to do is completely ignore the SP and vibrations and all that. What you also need is an anchor, or something to keep your mind awake. You can use a number of things, for example: pain, something around your wrist to create pressure (just enough to realize it's there), quiet music/noise, counting in your head, focusing on breaths, etc. One thing to keep in mind is that you CAN move, and you CAN swallow. The only time you shouldn't move is when your extremely tired and feel you could pass out any moment and SP comes on. Basically, you should be trying to falling asleep just like normal, but keeping your mind awake. The only thing different that you should be doing is keeping consciousness.
      Hope this helps.
