Clarifying Some Parts of Wake Induced Lucid Dream Session

      Hello,

I need some clarification about WILD, I think its best to show you how I WILD and later ask some questions.

I lay down (on my back) in my bed and relax all of my muscles. after some time i begin to feel a sensation like I am being sucked down into my bed. It vaguely resembles the feeling you get when a arm or leg sleep's. after i notice it coming i usually stare at my eyelids and i see strange patterns and colors kind of hard to describe. then the feeling gets more intense almost like my body is becoming heavier, I really feel like being sucked down or falling down into my bed. Then when the feeling reached a certain point I begin to see images, usually of Completely random things people and they also seem to move but usually slowly fade after one second. One time i saw a pile of cash on a table, My first reaction was grab the pile so i did it and it quickly turned into a lucid dream but after 4 seconds i became non lucid. also one time i saw a old man with a walking stick. He walked towards me and it looked so real then i moved my body because i was kind of scared. But it only occurred 2 times. All the other times i was sitting watching these images for like hours sometimes even 3 hours. then i fall asleep, Or my body begin's to hurt and i am exhausted. Then i change position and fall asleep very quickly.

      Some more details.

      I always WILD at night,

      Now my questions are;
      1. Is the sensation i feel (being sucked in my bed) a right one?

      2. Are the hypnotic images (if that's how you call them i mean the completely random images) the one's that will lead to successful WILDS?

      3. Are the 2 examples of the old man and the pile of money (Almost) successful wilds?

      4. Wat do i need to do to get a WILD after i see the images appear?

If you notice anything I do wrong pleas tell me so and if you got any tips they are always welcome.

      Thanks in advance Vogaro.

Yes you want that, its called SP and happens naturally every time your body falls asleep. Normally your mind is asleep also but in this case its not

Im not sure on the spelling either, but I believe its hypnogogic or at least something close to that. And yes they will if you are in SP and having them, you can "step right into a dream" like you did with the cash.

you had a completely successful WILD!

Well there are many ways, but for each person the transition is different, you can try rolling over into the dream, sinking through your bed, stepping into your dream, etc.

Congrats on your success and good luck!

I think the reasons why you have trouble holding onto the dream, is because your trying WILD at night, which can be very difficult. I strongly suggest doing them during WBTB (Wake Back To Bed), simply wake up after 4-6 hours of sleep, stay awake enough so you're focused but still tired enough to relax, then try the WILD. When you try it while going to bed, your not in the REM state, so it's much more difficult to enter a dream, after 4-6 hours you will be in REM and ready for dreaming

I see thats probably the reason why last night the images didn't come visit me. I had the sleep paralysis feeling but could not see images.

so what you basically suggest is that i need to set my alarm clock to 4-6 hours (i wil go with 5 i think) after i fall asleep. then wake up and let myself get awake a little, so i can read/calculate then i need to basically do the Wake-Induced-Lucid-Dream like i always do.

BTW is it normal that you can brake sleep paralysis by moving, I mean isn't paralysis supposed to mean you are in able to move. I do find it harder to move but when i manage to do it i imediatly stop feeling sleep paralysis in the limb i moved. is this ok or am i still doing something wrong?

Ok i have readed a little on the technique WBTB WILD. do you suggest to wake up lay still and try entering a dream. or wake up and when you yawn for the first time or 30-60 minutes after you woke go back to sleep again.

btw is it okay that i can brake sleep paralysis by moving. its sounds contradicting because its called paralysis but last night the images didnt come so i thought i am wasting time (i was laying there for 52 minutes) then i broke the feeling by moving my arm.

I think it depends on how you sleep, for example, i have to get up for 10-20 minutes before trying a WILD again, any less and I'm likely to accidentally fall back asleep. If it's hard for you to fall back asleep normally, then it may be better to stay in bed, but then you risk being too tired to focus. So you need to find the right time for you, experiment with it.
