      WILD Frequency

      Hello all,

I started to try LD 2 months ago. During the first month I experienced 6/7 short DILDs and since 3 weeks, I try WILD. My first WILD attempt was a succes, and since, I only try WILD. But the 2nd one few days afters was very scaring (OBE and nightmare), for the 3rd, 4th, and the 5th I failed and could not slep for 2 hours, for the 6th and the 7th, I got frightened because of the 2nd one and I failed. Last friday I overcome my fears and after weird kinda OBE, I had a beautiful and long lucid dream (with a false wakeup before and after teh LD ... very funny . And yesterday I tried ... I felt asleep and had normal dream ...

My question is : is my progression good or do I have to try another techniques ? Does it take long time to have WILD more regulary ?

      Thank you

      V.

Yes, but you can't really compare your progress to that of other people, because everyone learns lucid dreaming techniques and skills at a different pace. WILD definitely takes practice, because there's a lot of aspects to it... Inducing sleep paralysis, staying in sleep paralysis, dream entry, and then dream stabilization. Definitely more than DILD.

You can expect WILD failures a lot; I've had my fair share of them..

And as for the OBEs/sleep paralysis, that's another thing that just takes experience to become comfortable with.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
