      Trouble with SP

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with SP, and was hoping you could help. I've been trying to WILD and everytime I get to SP, my body freaks out and screws it up. I feel my body go numb, minor vibrations. Then all of a sudden, my heart rate goes way up, and I feel like I am not getting enough air. I know that this is a normal thing, my body does this every night, and I try to calm down, but I always get bombed out of the process. It's like my mind knows it's normal, but my body freaks out completely. The first time, I just lost it. The second time, I tried to calm myself down, taking deeper breaths, and that made me lose it. What can I do to fix this. Have you guys got any tips that might help?

what you said was right, you just need to plow through it. SP is definitely scary (the first time I went through it I felt someone grab my foot - I just couldn't continue after that). I think some people's problem is their outlook. Don't think you need to get through it all the first time, just go a little farther each time until it seems normal to you. Don't try to change what your body is doing, just go along with it and you should be okay! Hope this helps?

I have a similar problem : Last night I got 3 times into SP but it faded quickly

      My sensations :
-I was listening to a 1 hour track of theta binaural waves
-I suddenly felt my body growing very heavy
      -The vibrations came
(when the vibes came, I told myself to relax, that everything about to come wouldn't be real)
-Then I felt my heart pounding really hard and fast
      -My breathing became difficult

-my eyes started to freak out (going up and down really fast) and I couldn't control it
-I started focusing on relaxing, breathing normally and stop rolling my eyes but then my SP was over

After each failed attempt I immediately tried again but got the same results
The thing is, I haven't experienced HI or voices, only a sharp noise (like an old computer screen)

Should I better just let my eyes freak out and let my heart pound that fast? Any hints?

I do, and it's really annoying. I think it's because I usually breathe through my nose when I go to sleep, but while doing a WILD I breathe through my mouth. This air stimulates my salivary glands, making me want to swallow. I don't know if swallowing will interrupt the SP process, though.

Same thing happens to me. Numbness, small vibrations, increased heart rate and breathing, and my eyes even move back and forth rapidly. I have had this happen to me twice. Each time something weirded me out a little too much and I woke up. I got farther the second time. Just practice and ease yourself into it, even if it takes a while.

It's a strange sensation isn't it? The idea is to relax. If your heart rate is going up and you're having trouble breathing, you are probably too excited.

Well that's my theory. Any other ideas?
