Question How close am I for WILD ?

Hey, thanks for stopping by. Appreciate it

Well, Ive been trying to do WILD and MILD the last two months. Two days ago I am pretty sure Ive go as far as I have ever done before.

-I lied on my back. Not moving, just focusing on my breathing. after ten minutes I suddenly saw colors flashing and floating in front of my eyes like colored curtains, or the colors you see when you press your eyeball with your finger.
-Then my body got numb. A little while later I was like I was flying. I could absolutely not position where my finger, or hand, was. Or If it was there at all.
-Then the colors started taking shape. I saw a blue sky, like it was in the middle of the night. And a huge black castle in front of it. I didnt focus on it, just watch it while I was relaxing. Then it disepeared, and another one started building itself in the left corner of my eye. Some seconds later it was like I was going at extremely high speed in the middle of a city, on a boat. Buildings flew by.
-Then it was like someone punched me in the shoulder, and my whole body started vibrating. Some seconds later I could hear a sound, a woman just saying something. Then it was gone. Imagery was still taking shape as different buildings and mountains. But then something scared the shit out of me, It was like someone threw a wooden stock in the ground just next to my ear. But I got togehter pretty quickly and started hearing other noises.
      - and then everything became black. Nothing, absolutely nothing. I tried to do a reality check after a while. I wasnt dreaming.

Am I close? What am I doing wrong? Would really appreciate help :-)

Wel, I can't tell you out of experience, but I guess you were pretty damn close I advice you to stabilize the dream as soon as you realize you're in it. Look in the tutorials section, there's a good tutorial on dream stabilization. Though it seems you didnt have a lot of time for stabilization. Your only chance was on the boat in the city. Either way, you were really close, closer than I've ever been myself. Nice work

I don't think you were close at all. Sounds like you successfully WILD'ed. Congratulations!

I say that for a few reasons. The fact that you were actively involved in your dream state (albeit briefly) shows that you were in fact in a lucid dream. The transition is also present in your description. No wories, REM typically is like the flickering of a candle in the earlier part of our sleep cycles anyway. The fear you had (intense emotions in dreams always do this, no worries) is probably what pulled you out of the dream state and back to the visual/auditory hallucinations stage. Moving too fast without preparedness can also do that as well.

Try it after 4 - 6 hours of sleep if you haven't already. At any rate, congratulations on your first WILD.
