Today, for the first time, I tried to WILD while napping. I kept counting my breaths on each inhale, and repeated the simple phrase, "I'm dreaming," during each exhale. My body became very relaxed and heavy. I must've got to around two-hundred-something, and this is where my memory became a little fuzzy. The next thing I remember is getting up, thinking to myself that I had failed and that I should probably just get out of bed.

So I walk downstairs, and lo and behold...I'm in the house that I grew up in, which my mom recently moved out of! In fact, every time I've become lucid, other than one instance, the setting has always been this house. I attempt to look closely at some details, like the woodgrain on a cabinet, rubbing my hands to stabilize. Unfortunately, I violated one of the most important rules of lucid dreaming: never think of your sleeping body. The dream immediately began to fade and a rushing sound filled my ears, and the next thing I knew, I was back in my bed. From there, I tried to DEILD, but found it impossible, as two dogs were barking back and forth somewhere in the neighborhood, providing too much sensory stimuli.

Anyway, I'd just like for a more experienced dreamer to confirm for me whether or not this sounds like a WILD. If it is, it would be my first!

Thanks,
Dom
