      Am I close to...a..WILD? I don't even know.

      Hi
I'm pretty much a newb, and I tried having a lucid dream.

So, I woke up earlier than I usually do and was all, 'I might as well try having a lucid dream!' So, I lied still in a comfortable position of my choice and eventually after resisting temptation of moving, I felt like, a wave of something wash over me. I don't know. Heaviness? And colors started to swirl in what seemed in front of me. Staying calm, my mind was all awake.. So, I was all 'Now what?' I just tried to visualize a scene or something, but that never worked. Eventually though, I drifted off without noticing.

Feeling my hand move I 'opened my eyes' to see my hands above the blanket; I did not sleep like that. The light seeped through the room, and I waved my hands and was confused.

'Why am i moving my hand for? Wasn't I supposed to stay still? Wasn't it just night time...Wait. What if I'm Dreamin-'

I woke up and felt a great dizzying sensation and say fireworks.

I'm not sure if that count's as anything. If it does, any tips for stabilizing lucidity or anything, 'cus I seem to wake up before I do.

Can anybody help a noob out?

If you had drifted off without noticing and then randomly realized you were dreaming then that would be a DILD(Dream induced lucid dream). If you went straight into the dream then that would be a wild. Anyway some tips for staying lucid would be first and foremost not to freak out. Something big, especially when i was noobish was freaking out that i was dreaming. Just try to understand that you're dreaming and go with it. Second, shouting clarity, vividity, or any assortment of words can be used to make a dream more clear. There are more tips for clarity all over dreamviews though. Search the wiki and you'll probably find some.
