      I just can't start dreaming! :/

Hey guys! i'm new here and i can see that there's a lot of great information here!

well, i didn't have a LD yet! i've tried the WILD for about 5 times. Now, i can get into SP, and i start to have some light visual alucinations, but i never can start dreaming! the visual alucinations dont get stronger and dream sounds are not often!

Can you guys help me, how can i help myself to form my dream, i finally have a LD? please!

      thank you!

      Great progress!
      Two things I would suggest:

      1. When are you doing your WILD? If you're new, then use WBTB. There's loads of info about WBTB on the forums.
      2. Try phasing. When you're in SP and you're having some light hallucinations, or other visuals, start noticing them, becoming more absorbed with them. Don't ignore them, and try not to 'analyze' or 'think' them, instead, just observe them and they will become stronger.

You have gotten farther than me in WILD. I had a random short DILD, but I'm trying to get WILD to work. Whenever I do my WBTB I keep falling asleep normally rather than going through the hallucinations and SP into dreamland.

WILD is really hard, but i want to have my LDs through the WILD technique, so i can have LDs as much as i want, and some say WILD LD are more vivid and real =D

Have you read abut the sleep cycle? It goes approximately every 90 minutes. The ending period is REM, when you dream. So you should calculate multiples of 90 minutes and then wake up a few minute before the end of one. You will have to fine tune it to you, though.

you also have to take into account that after the first 90 minutes and then a dream, the next dream comes a bit sooner than the last, the third sooner than that, and so on. like rawracookies said, you will have to fine tune it to you.

you mean, in the end of every 90 minutes i have a dream, so for example, i pick up 4 cycles (to be deeply asleep) , that's 360 minutes (6 hours), so i have to set my alarm to like, 5 hours and 30 minutes after my sleep ? that wouldn't stopthe cycle and it would start all over again?

At that point, your body is ready to re-enter the cycle where it left off as long as you go back to bed in a few minutes.

Well, it's different for everybody. You'll have to look up some good sites or books on the sleep cycle. But you've got the right idea.
