      How to get HI naturally

I'm attempting WILD after finding MILD doesn't work with me (if I repeat any mantra with conviction I can't get to sleep). However, I have a problem with WILD too.

When I close my eyes the HI is hardly there. It's mainly black. When I close my eyes with my hand and squeeze a little bit, I get the most amazingly vivid HI. I also "squeeze" my brain. My parents say they don't know what I'm talking about when I say that, but if I close my eyes tight I get this warm "vibration" from my brain.
Once I lessen the pressure it slowly fades back to black.

I made a silly photoshop thing of my normal HI:

And how it literally looks like when I do this:

So how can I get my HI more vivid without having to scrunch up my eyes?

I know what you're talking about. i usually do the HI eye scrunch trick in boring classes to pass the time. Gives me a massive headacheif I do it for too long though. As for how to make it more vivid, that all depends on you. Not much of a HI person, so I dont specific tricks other then luck.

I'm not going to add an LD count because I sort of don't keep count. I've had about 2-3 WILDs... i think and one or two DILDS.

I don't think WILDs are about forcing HI to happen immediately. You just casually, passively watch the darkness and whatever shapes may appear, almost meditating on it as you relax and begin to get tired. Once you drift into sleepfulness but remain focused on the images, they'll get more and more vivid on their own until an entire dream scene appears. It takes patience, relaxation crucial for falling asleep and confidence. Works best if you WBTB.

Yeah just keep practicing. Eventually you'll get this sudden burst of HI, then you just have to keep doing it and it'll come quicker.

Yup, what tommo and DeeryTheDeer said. Sometimes as you're falling asleep you might catch some, which happens to me. Usually (for me) it's like a shooting star or a flash across my vision.

Is this what HI is suppose to look like? Get out a piece of black paper and draw dots on it with a dark-gray colored pencil. At most draw big dots.
Everyone here is being all deep and stuff, while I'm just here being normal with my dog photo...
