      SP, or close?

I attempted a WILD an 1 1/2 hours after waking up, and eventually, there was this numbness in my hands. I could move my fingers by thinking, but they weren't actually moving. Was this actually SP? There weren't any HI.

Hmm, it could very well have been the early stages of SP. HI/HH doesn't always start at the very beginning. Sometimes, you may not experience a whole lot of HH/HI at all. From this point, you just need to stay relaxed, calm, and continue to fall asleep. Nice progress and just keep trying to get a little further along with each attempt. Good luck to you and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks for the help! I didn't originally plan the occurrence to be a WILD, but actually autosuggestion.

Ah, I see. Sometimes, SP will just start up out of nowhere. Its always good to try and take advantage of these opportunities as well.

PS: I really like auto-suggestion. It adds that extra boost that may push you over the barrier and into lucidity.

Yeah. It caught me by surprise. I also like auto suggestion, because it's believe it works. The first time it worked was before sleeping and I suggested waking after REM sleep. Worked 2 times, and remembered both dream.s
