I am having almost the same problem as well. Only even if I do not focus on the sound, simply noticing it will make it go away. Also, try WILDing with your head sideways whilst keeping on your back.

As josh said, you can try lying on your back with your head tilted sideways. You should try to allow your body to relax, and also relax your mind a bit, but not so much that you will fall asleep.

I recently read a WILD guide written by Jeff777 which explained that you should try to get to the stage where thoughts come into your head that don't make sense. Once the thoughts are coming into your head without you having to induce them, you should focus on lucid dreaming, and don't think too much about whether the thoughts make sense or not. After a while (maybe more than a few minutes) you'll enter SP, and from there you should ignore any hallucinations you may experience and keep your focus on lucid dreaming.
