      Wild problem

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone could help with a wild problem I'm having. I've been having some success with the wild technique but I'm having a lot of problems staying aware while doing the technique.
I have tried using the technique while having a mid day nap but most of the time 1 hour into the wild attempt nothing as happened with no vibrations or anything.
When I try the technique at night (around 4 or 5am) within 2min I'm back to asleep until the morning.
Has anyone got any suggestion how I could improve my awareness at night?

      Regards Steve

Hey there. It is generally recommended not to focus on the physical sensations nor to make them your goal when WILDing. The more you focus on the physicals, the more you will get grounded in the physicals and have a harder time going shifting into the dream. When you try WILD, you can use "anchors" which are things you constantly keep track of while you let your body fall asleep. Some common anchors are counting/focusing on breaths, listening to the buzz of the fan or air conditioning. You can also just focus on visualizing your dream.

When you mentioned that you tried it at night, did you do a WBTB? If you do a WBTB, try increasing the time you are awake, maybe that'll help you to not fall asleep right away. WILD works best with WBTB

      Good luck

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Hi Steve,

First of all, you don't always get vibrations. Sometimes you get different sensations or hallucinations. So if you wait for one specific thing, you may miss your cue.

Second, if you fall asleep too soon, maybe you can stay up little longer for a WBTB. Or if you not using a mantra, try it. Mantra will keep you anchored to awareness by entertaining your mind, so it doesn't fall asleep prematurelly.

Third, if you have not read this WILD (sageous) tutorial yet, I can recommend it to you.
And here is Sensations and types of entry into WILD. happy dreams
