I am by no means an expert on WILD, but I have spent 4+ years doing body awareness relaxation, so I can get to SP easily as well. Judging from my experiences, what others have told me, and what you are saying, I think perhaps you are a bit too focused, or a bit too amped up (anxious perhaps) about the transition process. You have to walk the fine line between staying aware and 'letting' yourself fall asleep. I know that if I am thinking about the transition too much, I'll just lie there in SP, body all warm, until I get tired of it, regardless of what anchor(s) I use. Of course, if I let go too much, I wind up in a non-lucid.
As far as techniques, the one that finally worked for me (today actually), was moving my dream hands and arms once I hit SP. I tried to pull them away from my body, rub them together, etc. They felt very heavy, but they WERE moving. After doing that for awhile, I opened my eyes and I was in a lucid. I've done that many times before and still failed, however.
Like I said, I'm still a WILD novice, but maybe my comments will help
