Is there anything in your dreams that are consistently odd and sometimes disturbing?

For example, I have trouble with open stretches of water. Instead of what happens when you usually step in the sea (ankle or foot height) it goes right up to >neck height and I immediately start drowning XD.
      Anything similar for you?

Yes I do, but nothing quite as specific as that...really. I find that the ambient part of dreams - the air, the walls, the weather, etc - can be quite dark, almost mournfull and there's often a pervasive sense of oppression & unresolved emotion that gets embodied by the broader context.

Things get real weird real fast anytime I look at the night sky. I get disoriented, start getting feelings of movement, or see the stars move and dance. I get some sort of vertigo. It seems like I can't handle the idea of all that distance. This is one of the reasons I've never been able to fly out of the earth's atmosphere.

My dreams always seem too dim and washed-out... it's not really mournful or anything though. its just like the lighting is always bad.

Everything about my dreams are odd. It's basically like very random situations in very random places. They're not linear at all. I wish my dreams could be more stable. And sometimes they're strangely violent.

I also have problems with large bodies of water like the ocean or large lakes. Water always takes on a black color and a thick, oily texture in my dreams and I always get a strange depressing feeling when I'm around it. Pretty much every time I dream of the ocean or lakes I'm in a car on a bridge(in one case a train) that sits high above the water, and I somehow end up driving my car through the side rails and down into the water. I always wake up once I hit the water, but I always feel scared after I wake up from those dreams.

Also whenever I see a swimming pool in my dream(it's always the same pool in the same scene). They always show up with black water, leaves and filth on the top layer and you can't see into the water at all. The weather becomes gloomy and cloudy and the sky takes on a weird sepia color that stretches to the 'scene' of my dream. I always try to avoid the pool, but almost every time I end up near it somehow and I feel really sad or depressed when I just seeit.

Yikes, that would freak me out! Sounds horrible!

I have a view recurring dreams that are very disturbing. Actually they are just themes. One is that I find dead bodies laying around and then remember that I put them there. For example, I'm just making breakfast, open the fridge and oh yea, I stuffed that dead body in there. It's really awful.

Oh and I just thought of another consistently odd thing. Bathrooms. Any dream I might be having, if I have to go to the bathroom, I'll open the door to the bathroom (where ever it may be) and it always leads to the same place. It's a really disgusting and huge public bathroom that smells so bad you can taste it in your mouth. I won't tell anymore. But in the dream sometimes I get lost in there and have trouble getting back to the regular dream.
