      Problems WILDing in the mornings

Hi! I'm new to this forum and to lucid dreaming. I've been trying to WILD for about a week now but I haven't been successful so far. From what I've read, the best times for WILDing are in the morning after 6 hours of sleep or during naps. My problems is that whenever I try it in the mornings it seems a lot more difficult, like I can't concentrate and I feel itching that I can't ignore or the urge to roll over is a thousand times worse. It's really frustrating.
Yesterday I tried WILDing before going to bed at night and I finally got sleep paralysis but I couldn't enter a dream. Is this because I wasn't in REM sleep?

      So my questions are:
      1. How can I relax enough to WILD in the mornings?
      2. Is it possible to WILD at night before going to bed (because that's when I'm most relaxed)?

      Sorry for the long post!

What i usually do is just think about stuff that has happened yesterday (if it's a morning Wild im doing) and just let my mind wander... kinda much like switching channels on your tv.
It is possible to WILD at night, but it is alot more difficult and the "quality" of your LD will be somewhat dark and fuzzy (hope i said that right) because you are tired and much more unaware about stuff (atleast i am).

I always try to WILD at both night and in the early morning if i can.

      1. When the alarm or whatever wakes you up in the morning, you can do two things. If your alarm is short and doesn't involve you moving to stop it going off, you can lie still and sort of mix WILDing with DEILDing. If you don't move from when you wake up, you might already be in SP or be very relaxed. Practice keeping your eyes closed. If your alarm makes you move, I like to rearrange the covers, make sure I'm comfortable, and s-t-r-e-t-c-h. You don't have to get out of bed, but stretch out any tense muscles. Post-stretching always makes me feel very relaxed. Then I lie back down and close my eyes.
At this point, I like to search my mind and see if I was dreaming before I woke up. Nine times out of ten, I'll be able to remember at least a vestige of a dream. I'll try to expand it. Where was I? What was the situation? Who was I with? How did I feel? The key to WILDing is to remember that you have to fall asleep, and so you must be relaxed. Also, the more you focus on your body, the more uncomfortable you'll feel. I can be in a wonderful daydream and then move my awareness from my made up world to, say, my legs, and instantly I'll feel like I HAVE to move, this position is so uncomfortable. Daydream in your head. Create a situation. Act out something you want to tell someone.
If you end up falling asleep by doing this, try something lucid-related. Common methods include counting down from 100 to 1, counting your breaths, and repeating "I am dreaming" or some other mantra. Try reverse blinking, where you flick your eyelids open and closed as if you were blinking open. Or you can try FILD, where you concentrate on minutely moving your fingers until SP. A lot of this part is personal--some people need to concentrate completely on what they're doing, and some people only keep track of it in the back of their mind. Experiment. Soon you'll find a combination of techniques or the right balance of awareness that will get you into a WILD.

      2. It is technically possible, but it's difficult. Your lucid dreams will be short, poor quality, and unstable.
We were always dreaming of how it was going to be.
