      Don't think about thoughts?

In a lot of wild tutorials I've seen, people say that i should let my focus passively on my thoughts. For instance, if i am using a counting method i should start off counting consciously then let the process continue passively. Well I've been attempting wilds for a while now and I've found that it's extremely difficult for me to let my thoughts go.

      Let me share my experience:

Step 1: i get into bed and recite my mantras for about 5 minutes.

Step 2: I begin the 61 point relaxation technique. this takes me another 5 minutes

Step 3: I begin to create artificial random thoughts, rolling over in what i believe to be 7-10 minute intervals as described in KingYoshi's wild tutorial. This step is where i encounter problems. While I'm here i try to let my thoughts wander on their own while watching passively. When i successfully let the thoughts go, they become stronger (it's really strange) they grow stronger and stronger until it they begin to take form. i begin to actually here the things i'm thinking about(voices noises ect.), and i can see them too. even then they grow and they become so strong that i take notice of them and in that instant they disappear and i am left in my normal waking state.

I feel like if i can maintain this state consciously, i could wild flawlessly, but its disappears if i even take notice of it. Also i don't consciously know that I'm in this state. I can only tell i was there when i snap out of it. I know that this is what happens when i go to sleep normally too. The state probably progresses without me noticing it to the point where i enter a dream unconsciously. the reason i know it would work is because it's happened to me during class. i was in this state for about 30 minutes and i happened to snap out of it during SP. Unfortunately i didn't think to turn it into an LD at the time. Do any of you guys know what this is and how i can control it?

P.s : My wild attempts generally last about 45 minutes.

I think you should try again but continue on. I think that means you are close to getting a WILD. That the hallucenations were becoming real is a good thing. Not much past that and you can fall into a dream. I'm not an expert on WILD'ing though, so i'll bump this post to help you out. Good luck.
