      odd sensation..?

      A little while back, before I went to sleep, I decided to have a go at WILD again.

      A few minutes in, I began to feel a sensation as if my head/body was travelling at a great velocity. Startled, I stoped the attempt and just went back to bed.

      Was I doing something right and should I have another go at it again?

      That was a hypnagogic hallucination. It's a very good sign, especially since it involved the feeling of movement. It means you were right on the verge of sleep. Try it again. These experiences will get less startling as you familiarize yourself with them.

      Yep, WILD attempts can come with various sensations and hallucinations. It may be one of those. Just remember that you are safe in your bed, and it's all in your mind.
