unable to wild because i have practiced it for way too long!

Before you say anything i am doing it correctly and i know how to fully get through a wild but the lucidity never stays within the beginning of a dream... and also i have read the steps involved and im doing it right.
i have successfully done it 5 times or so ( in like three years waahhh ) but now it has become a habit for me to use to get to asleep quickly and relaxed
for a short while i was using it to sleep and now no matter what i am unable to keep my self up with it is there anything i can do or should i just try a new technique?
      many thanks!

The typical WILD can be a little frustrating I am currently practising meditation and while I do my WILD attempt I actually just focus on meditating and don't even focus on the WILD attempt in itself I just meditate and trust that I will notice when I have transitioned, and that works because I am by then not focusing on the outcome of the WILD attempt itself.

I still have to practise more meditation in order to perfect it, although there is a quick way to acieve a WILD if you want a lucid dream.

And that is the DEILD method, you basically skip the whole relaxation part and wake up at the end of the WILD attempt, the transition.

So if I were you and felt frustration of the typical WILD routine, I would look into the DEILD method.

If you want to take up the challenge of wanting without doing, basically WILDing without focusing on WILDing then I would suggest you read about meditation.

Either way meditation is a really good "skill" actually a mindset to go into when you WILD and it's very peaceful when you stop focusing on outcome, which is the key to meditation.

There are of course methods that focus more on intention like MILD or autosuggestion etc. But meditation is still a beneficial practise to master in order to succeed.

Because meditation is all about finding balance between intention and awareness.

It feels like I am kind of advertising meditation, but in my opinion the mindset is more important than the actual induction and oddly enough the mindset is what makes the inductions most effective.

No need to be so defensive. If you doing it correctly, than you should be getting them every time you want to, right? BTW, which tutorial are you following? Some are better than others, and some could be downright misleading.

Only there is no such a thing as only 1 correct method to WILD. You read many good tutorials, keep trying them untill something works. But later, most likely you will need to change up some things, because you may get used to the process and it will become a routine, that stops working.

If we knew your method, we could comment on it and perhaps make some suggestion. How many hours of sleep you get before WILD? Do you get HH? Do you visualize? What do you use to keep your mind aware? More detailed description you provide, better answers you'll get.
