      Questions on Failed Attempts

      Hi everyone!
I've been attempting WILD for the past month or so. What I do is get a song (Strobe - Deadmau5) that lasts 10 minutes and start playing it while I close my eyes and picture my dream base-a piece of vast grassland with no one else and a blue sky. I was hoping that I can advance from there when I succeed. And yes, I do have a dream journal
I often get the heavy feeling that my body is asleep, and try to keep my mind awake by repeating in my mind "Don't fall asleep" ten times, then "Stay awake" ten times, then "Lucid dream" ten times, alternating between the three. But I still fall asleep before a lucid dream could occur.
There was one time, though, a while after the music stopped, I felt my right hand trembling. It was shaking uncontrollably and I didn't dare move it at will because I thought it would wake my body up. So I ignored it and after about three minutes of freaking out in my mind, it stopped. And I still fall asleep. What was that about?
There was this other time when I drifted off and then realized I was dreaming. Yes, DILD, but it was after my failed attempt of WILD. So I realized I was dreaming and said "clarity now" as some people suggested to clarify the dream scene. But as soon as I said it, the dream seemed to shatter. There was no image anymore. Then I remembered reading about hypnogia? Did I spell it correctly? Well, I think it was hypnogia (how DO you spell it?) because there were irregular shapes and different colors moving around in front of me. Then they turned all dark after a while. And I opened my eyes.
Were all those just hallucinations, or was it really a failed attempt?
I'm a newbie to lucid dreaming in general, and I'd really appreciate some tips/pointers/explanations!
      Thanks in advance!

First of all, you not mentioning, if you are attempting to WILD without prior sleep. Although it's possible to do that, it's so much more hard and WILD is already hard enough. WILD is best done after 4.5 hrs of sleep, at least.

The music, the shapes, any images, could be hypnagogic hallucinations.

Here is a great WILD (sageous) guide
And here is an article about HH and how to enter WILD from them Sensations and types of entry into WILD. But I really suggest reading the WILD guide first, as without basic knowledge of what, when and why, it's very hard to WILD.
      Happy dreams
