      Wild Attempt

So i'm curious about how i got so far in wild. It started when i was attempting DEILD i woke up twice. The first time i failed and went back to sleep the second i was not completely sure if i moved. but since it was getting early i attempted wild regardless. So it started as usual with vibrations and heaviness but something new happened. I saw a dim yellow light and felt a shock wave of energy. When i looked in the general direction of the light it got brighter, when i look away it faded. (note this was early in the morning, around 5 am) So i continued this till the light became really bright. Soon it reached a being the brightest i can be but then nothing new happened. So i waited and eventually quit.so i quit and thought that my rem cycle stopped because nothing new happened over the course of an hour (its 7 am). So any tips or ideas?

What did you do after the attempt? I always see people write about how they tried to manipulate visuals or sounds and they end with just like you "So I quit the attempt" "So I stopped".

It's not over! The key to trigger the sleeping and dreaming process is to relax, if you relax just for a bit you will soon experience some mild vibrations and perhaps some hypnagogia, however if you just relax little and not fully, you will have a harder time to transition. Even if you think you relax as much as you can, there is a little paradox you have to deal with...

If you tried to go to sleep right now (unaware) you would close your eyes and do that little intuitive thing we all do, relax both the MIND and the BODY.

Usually in a transition attempt you only relax the body fully because you are afraid that you will fall asleep unaware, I get that. Although try this when you feel like nothing else works:

When you feel like nothing works and you just want to "give up" the attempt, just try to fall asleep, literally and yes unaware, it's that kind of intent and relaxation I want you to try to induce.

In 80% of my attempts of DEILD where I do this (from natural awakenings) it's when I do this the dream starts to form infront of my eyes, and I just notice that and stop falling asleep by intent and the process continues on it's own. Although if I just fall asleep if I am close to dreaming I will still end up more aware to induce a DILD easier anyway!

And if that doesn't happen, well I probably wasn't close to REM and vivid dreaming anyway, so I don't have to blame myself.

I hope this makes sense and that it helps you. Sweet dreams!

Yeah I see, that's what I would mean by stopping the attempt, because you know where there is sleep, there is dreams.

Nowadays when I am kind of busy the only way I use to lucid dream is sleep.

I relax consciously but on my awakenings I just go back to sleep and I soon find myself in a vivid dream, and it deosn't really matter if it's lucid or not because it's always a new adventure and a fun experience. But if I get a lucid dream it's just a bonus.

Keep me updated and sweet dreams!
