WILD'ing without any sleep before hand, I'm very successful, why no WBTB's

I heard that WILD'ing with out sleeping first is supposed to be very difficult. Well not for me I've done it about 5 times now. Last night I WILD'ed straight to bed and had an OBE then I flew back into my body for a FA and did a RC to become Lucid. I rode the LD for about an hour until I had an encounter with a dream woman who made me get a little too excited (I had to change undies when I woke up, sorry for being so graphic, but hey it's part of life right!). I was wanting to take it for as long as I can and go into a REM period so things would get extremely vivid. But I only LD'ed for about an hour so I don't believe I hit a REM phase. My question to you is do you have any experience with this type of WILD'ing, and Could I possible carry Lucidity through the whole night using this technique?

Oh and forgot to say that I'm having zero luck doing this with a WBTB at about 6 hours, any tips for succeeding at this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone

Congrats on WILD's , i almost had WILD while going normally to sleep once as well, so it is possible, though most of people find it hard to do because it's much much easier to fall into unconscious sleep at that time. As for carrying on through the whole night i think it might be possible by using some of DEILD techniques, there are some tutorials on the forums, i would suggest looking there, though i personally have not tried them yet .

Try different times for naps to balance it right at the time when you are being sleepy enough to be able to fall asleep, but awake enough to not fall asleep unconsciously. Also try to find out what's your REM time and do it at that time.

yeah I keep on trying different times. I had a little bit of success last night with a WBTB but nothing like the straight to bed WILD's. What I was really interested in was seeing how many people have WILD'ed without prior sleep. And what there experiences are compared to WBTB's
