Question I have returned! Still not got the hang of this though .. Help with WILD induction?

Hello people of DreamViews, it's been a while but I've come back (left after something about Russian hackers, god only knows ..) and I've recently gotten back into Lucid dreaming. The topic I need help with today is WILD induction. I know there are plenty of other good posts on the subject but I thought I would post my own with my own personal problems, seeing as this may lead to more personalised help.

Now enough of the waffle, to the main meat of the post. As long as I've been trying to have lucid dreams I can remember WILD being a mixed bag in terms of results, it has given me my first Lucid as well as many other wacky scenarios (repeating FA's spring to mind). I was just wondering after all this time and all these attempts, am I doing this correctly? I seem to follow the correct method; wake up after several hours of sleep, get up for a few minutes, get back in bed, lay motionless and just kind of passively observe as your body drifts away into oblivion. However, following these instructions I seem to get, most of the time anyway, about half way there.
During the majority of my attempts I seem to be able to get to the SP stage, my body "freezes up" and then I begin to lose feeling in it, as if I've become detached. Contrary to what other people report I don't seem to lose any of my other senses though, my hearing remains perfectly intact and I can still feel myself in my bed. Occasionally I might get colours or shapes flicker past my eyes, dependant on how long I had slept before hand.
Am I doing this right? Should I just be more patient? Any advice would be of great help

Here is a little theory of the cause of critical thinking in a dream that can be used both for WILD and for DILD.

Yes I am lazy to not write a personal post to you, but I hope that it helps you.
